Design freedom: specialty colour in a single pass

Gold, silver, white, clear and neon laid down in one pass, without a second process and without sending the job out.

Specialty finishes normally mean a second process — a foiling stage, a spot varnish unit, or a trip to a trade finisher. Every one of those adds days and cost, and every one is a point where the job can come back wrong.

This film shows those effects produced in a single pass on the press. Gold, silver, white, clear and neon, applied alongside the four-colour work rather than after it.

Filmed with London Luxury Candle Supplies, across their gift box and wax melt ranges — see the case study. The commercial point is simple: designers stop having to design around what the press cannot do, and you stop quoting work you would rather not take.

Every film has its own discussion thread. Ask anything technical and we will answer it properly rather than sending you a brochure. Comments are checked before they appear.
